Harnessing flex’s power is going to be some companies top priority very soon. Especially if they take a look at salesforce.com.

Salesforce now allows users to add flex apps that interact with apex. Not only that, it allows users to create signatures and methods so that no programmer will have to have knowledge of the database schema and be able to step in an code. A great screencast to show how easy it can be, can be found here:

Flex and Apex Made Easy

Now, that being said, it can be complicated, but when the methods are introduced, it becomes easier. Methods are written with the SQL calls in the function itself. Once this is done, all someone would have to do is call it from ANYWHERE, just like any function, and it will return and array. Make the array the dataProdiver to a repeater, and viola, output of all the code…in an flex container.

Companies are now realizing the power of flex and beginning to utilize it. Flex is giving the easy user interaction and eye-popping look and feel that everyone has been looking for! Don’t take my word for it, have a look at these amazing salesforce projects:

There is no doubt that flex and air will be the next great technologies.

Salesforce.com already has it’s foot in the door…
